"Cheri Fuller points our prayer gaze toward God's compassion for a mother's heart - and keeps it there, waiting for His answers. Moms of all ages will find practical encouragement for their practice of prayer." - ELISA MORGAN, PRESIDENT AND CEO, MOPS INTERNATIONAL.

"Every mother becomes a lioness when it comes to protecting her young. Cheri Fuller profoundly reminds us - with charm, humor, Scripture, and real-life examples - that the greatest "super power" we Mighty Moms can draw on is prayer." - BECKY FREEMAN, AUTHOR OF STILL LICKIN' THE SPOON.

Cheri Fuller is an inspirational speaker and author of eighteen books, including her most recent, Trading Your Worry for Wonder. She is also a contributing editor for Today's Christian Woman and a frequent guest speaker on Focus on the Family. A former teacher and mother of three grown children, Cheri and her husband live in Oklahoma.

"There is a war going on, a spiritual war. The battle is intense and very real. Satan is aggressively trying to steal and destroy our children, families, the nation, and the world. Yet, the Christian has powerful weapons against the powers of darkness. Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 10:4, "The weapons we fight with...have divine power to demolish strongholds" (NIV). What are these divine weapons? They are the Word of God, prayer, and Jesus' name. When Mothers Pray is about moms using these divine weapons. This book powerfully proclaims the victory that is ours when we pray. The stories shared are about women who don't just read about prayer, listen to tapes on prayer, go to seminars on prayer, but who pray. They believe the promise in Jeremiah 33:3, "Call unto me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." These women stand in the gap for others, knowing their prayers make an eternal difference. This is one of those rare books you just cannot put down because it brings hope and a deeper love and trust in the Lord. I'm so thankful God placed this book on Cheri's heart. He knew she would capture the praying hearts of moms and be able to transfer those hearts to paper. Her own passion, zeal, and commitment to prayer give great credence to the message. Cheri took this assignment from Him seriously and accurately penned the miracles of God to pass on the legacy of His faithfulness, omnipotence, sovereignty, and goodness in answering His children's prayers. It spills out on every page.

The hearts of the moms in this book so touched me that I laughed, cried, was inspired, blessed, encouraged, and convicted--sometimes all at the same time. As I read the book, I was fasting and praying for one of my children. Many of the scriptures and quotes so comforted me that I would stop and have a quiet time right then. As the Holy Spirit would speak to my heart, I would say, "Yes, Lord, that is the scripture I need right now," and I would write the verse in my journal in the section for a particular child and then pray for him accordingly. The book also contains timeless prayer principles and illustrations that I joumaled, as well as personal things of which the Holy Spirit convicted me. It was not only a sweet learning time but a burden-releasing time as well.

Cheri brings our sisters in Christ around the world doser to us. She reminds us that our hearts are the same for our children and that many of us are walking similar prayer journeys. Truly, all over the wodd there is a chorus "pouting out our hearts like water before the face ofthe Lord, lifting our hands toward Him for the lives of our children" (Lamentations 2:19).

I appreciated her encouragement that we don't have to carry our burdens for our children by ourselves. Moms In Touch groups provide a safe, loving, confidential atmosphere where burdens become lighter, fears are released, comfort is found, love for one another's children is fostered, deep friendships develop, and spiritual growth in prayer occurs. As Cheri says so beautifully, "Regular weekly prayer time with other women can bring us out of depression and open up windows of strength and opportunity."

I'm eager for you to read this book, and you will want to read it again and again. It lovingly brings us back to the truth that God's will can be done on earth just as it is in heaven, if we will but pray. John Wesley is frequently quoted as saying, "God will do nothing on earth except in answer to believing prayer." Who will stand in the gap for our children, families, schools? Who will pierce the darkness with their fervent, persistent prayers? Will you? If you are not praying for your children, who is?" - Fern Nichols, Founder and President, Moms In Touch International.
