CREDITS

Personal: I am a deacon at the Catholic Community of Saint Mary of the Lake in Lakewood, New Jersey and reside in Point Pleasant. I was ordained on May 11, 1996, so all of this is relatively new to me, ever so challenging, and yet ever so rewarding. I am also involved in the music ministry as an organist, guitarist and sometime cantor. It was my involvement in music ministry since 1964 which eventually brought me to the diaconate and which also continues to "revive my spirit". I am married (for 30 years) with three children, ages 27, 23 and 20. I am 56 years of age.

Thanks to: My former pastor, Msgr. Michael J. Walsh, who supported me wholeheartedly in both my diaconate and music ministry, and who welcomed me into his new parish with open arms in July 1996. (I'm sure he had many second thoughts about that! See also My Story for further discussion of my relationship with Fr. Mike.)

Thanks also to: My wife, Doroth, who has supported me throughout my diaconate training and who has suffered through all the times when I was gone from the house because of my music ministry, etc., etc., etc. My children, Silvy, Dan and Marguerita, who, although they don't come to church regularly, have supported me in numerous ways and are a constant joy to me. All of the choir members from my previous parishes (Holy Angels in Trenton, St. Paul Methodist Church in Trenton, and St. Paul's in Middletown, NY), who have stayed in touch over all the years and been so supportive through my many wanderings.
