Ordinary 15 B

Prayers of the Faithful

by Luke O'Donnell

Celebrant

God has considered us worthy enough to be his disciples. Our duty is to carry the Good News throughout the World. Let us bring our prayers before the Father.

Reader

1 For the work of Christ's Body, the Church: may all its members zealously work for the establishment of the Kingdom so that the world will be filled with his peace, joy and love.

Lord, in your mercy R Hear our prayer.

2 For victims of violence and aggression, for those obsessed with hatred and retaliation; for the injured, the abused and the persecuted.

Lord, in your mercy R Hear our prayer.

3 For those in pain, for those who suffer from depression or worry: may the Lord heal them and find comfort in him.

Lord, in your mercy R Hear our prayer.

4 For all people in trouble: may a source of new hope and encouragement reach them through us.

Lord, in your mercy R Hear our prayer.

5 For the dead: may those who sleep in Christ find their purpose living with you in Paradise.

Lord, in your mercy R Hear our prayer.

6 We ask Mary, our Mother, to join her prayers we ours as we say: Hail Mary…

Celebrant

God our Redeemer, trusting in your constant care and protection, we bring you these prayers in the name of Jesus the Lord. Amen.
