Leader: Calling to mind the hopes and longings of all people, let us pray for the Church, the world, and all those in need a brief silence).

Leader: That the Church may be found at peace as it waits for and hastens the coming of the day of God, let us pray to the Lord:

Community: Come, Lord Jesus.

Leader: That the ministers and bishops of the Church may lift up their voices with strength and herald the good news of Jesus Christ, let us pray to the Lord:

Leader: That God's patience might bring all peoples to repentance and peace, especially those in .....that those who govern may work for a world where justice is at home; and that the hungry may be fed, the naked clothed, and the homeless sheltered, let us pray to the Lord:

Leader: That God may forgive our iniquity and blot out all our sins; that the confirmands may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; and that God may gather all those who are not here today and carry them back to this place, let us pray to the Lord:

Leader: That God would show mercy and grant healing to those with AIDS, those in hospitals, those who are pregnant, those recovering from accident, illness or surgery, and all who are sick and suffering, especially ........let us pray to the Lord:

Leader: That God may comfort and speak tenerly to those in nursing homes, the homebound, those who grieve and mourn, and those who are troubled in spirit, especially .......let us pray to the Lord:

Leader: O God our Savior, we give thanks for the saints of all ages, especially especially Mary the Mother of our Lord, and all those we name.....That we may be found by God without spot or blemish on the day of the Lord, let us pray to the Lord:

Leader: God of all consolation, to us who journey as pilgrims through time, you have promised new heavens and a new earth. Speak to the hearts of your people, that we may lead lives of holiness and godliness, and with a faith free from spot and blemish, may hasten the coming of that day when you shall come in might to gather us into your kingdom. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
